It's in the presentation

So, Japanese people are really out there in my opinion. So I think they could really go both ways, you either love them, or you hate them. Japan is big on design and they come out with some pretty crazy stuff. You can either take it or leave it.
Let's talk about Nendo, a Tokyo based company who has recently opened an exhibition at the Friedman Benda Gallery in New York reports Core77. The company created some chairs called cabbage chairs, I'm assuming cause they have a lot of layers... they look pretty cool yes; but, for the exhibition this company decided to do something different.

Suspended Cords fall around the room giving it a ghostly feel to the whole area. The cords are used to echo the pleated texture of the chairs which are placed around the room. The chairs themselves are made out of pleated paper which is produced in large quantities to assist in the making of pleated fabric but is then thrown away. Nendo took that paper and recycled it to be used productively rather than just becoming waste. Now here is someone that is looking out for our environment.
